I trying to get the smell out of my Soccer shin guards…. what water temperature should I set the washer to?

i am taking your suggestion now… i rinsed the shin guards with warm water then scrubbed bleach into them with a rag and then followed the instructions on the bleach and put them in the washer on hot for the longest that i could, these things will need all the time they can get in the washer.
thanks a lot!! this finally worked and now they smell find

I would use the hottest water you have with bleach and soak them then air dry!
